Review
Don’t you love the cover?! If you have been reading this series, you must have noticed these titles going in the reverse order of how Willa has ranked her Abcurses and the girl dressed in their colours.
5 – Siret (Trickery – Purple)
4 – Yael (Persuasion – Green)
3 – Aros (Seduction – Golden Yellow)
2 – Rome (Strength – Blue)
1 – Coen (Pain – Black)
So ladies and gentlemen, before you start with the review, here’s a little something –
I love you, too, Willa-toy. I don’t know what I’d do without you. Life—immortality—none of it meant anything until you tripped in and started setting things on fire.
YES! THE DEED HAPPENS! FINALLY! As I mentioned in the review for Book 2, that anticipation of waiting for them to get together, and when it finally happens, SO. GOOD. It was everything I wanted, and more. Gah, I couldn’t stop smiling and doing a cheer routine in my head.
The plot in this book focuses on the character development of Willa Knight, alone, without the Abcurses helping her navigate her new life. The book starts where Persuasion ends, with Willa being her typical self – creating a mess and getting into problems. She just grows on you, you can’t help but like her for her originality.
We see more of Emmy and Willa in the first part, and I love their friendship. Emmy, who has gone through a tough time, is now focused on building Dweller-Sol relations. It’s fun the lengths Willa goes to, to ‘protect’ Emmy.
Willa’s developing powers and she can’t stay away from the Abcurses who hold her soul pieces. They have been helping her get more control over her chaos and some of those moments are so hilarious; I thought I’d die of laughter. Willa and the guys have such a bond, I sometimes was envious of it.
Everything that happened in book 2 has made Staviti call them back to Topia. The guys are reluctant to leave Willa alone, but that would make them face more repercussions. With the help of Cyrus, they shift the soulbond to some magical stone, leaving Willa in the Neutral God’s hands. (BTW, Cyrus is such an intense brood).
And that’s where everything turns interesting! I think this book is great; we see Willa dealing with a lot of stuff. From her getting kidnapped to her travelling to Topia to be with her guys, she was in her chaotic element.
Even the plot has expanded smoothly, we understand more of how Topia (the Gods’ world) operates on magic, there’re some hints of Willa’s past and the origin of the creator.
And when she and the guys reunite? That’s the highlight of this book! Such love between them! The guys need her as much as she needs them, and that pain of being separated from each other? I felt that too.
As the book gears towards the end, you’ll really not want to drop the book because so many things drop like a bomb! And that’s when the DEED happens! I’ve read it thrice but I still get giddy as if I’m reading it for the first time.
That ending! It doesn’t end in a bad cliffhanger, but you will want to get your hands on the fourth, desperately.
Overall, I LOVE this series! And you should definitely pick it up if you love PNR and Reverse harem Romance!
Seduction (Curse of the Gods Series) Blurb:
Willa Knight: Dweller? Sol? Accidental evolutionary hiccup?
Willa has never been a particularly useful dweller: she isn’t very good at chores, she isn’t very good at worshipping, she isn’t very good at not having opinions, and she isn’t very good with rules—but none of that matters anymore.
The rules are changing.
The dwellers are trying to make their own way in the world, and Willa can’t seem to help getting tangled up in their plans.
Luckily, she has the Abcurse brothers to help her out—until she doesn’t, and suddenly she’s alone again in a world on the brink of chaos. With the Abcurses gone, she’ll have to rely on her wits, and her sister Emmy, to stay under the radar and survive.
Because someone wants her dead.
But, really, what else is new?
This is a full novel, 90,000 words. Book 3 of 5 in the Curse of the Gods Series
