Fictional Boyfriend Book Tag

Hi everyone! I realize it’s been a while since I did a book tag on my blog.

As my reading and writing slump phases in, I thought doing a new book tag would just be a good idea. I love how tags let us revisit old favorites while also uncovering hidden gems.

And then I picked the Fictional Boyfriend Tag – A REALLY TOUGH ONE!

Why, you ask? Well, how can anyone pick just ONE book boyfriend? And on top of that, right when I read the categories, I seemed to have forgotten all of my favorite book boyfriends LOL.

Anyway, a quick info on the Fictional Book Boyfriend Tag: there are 11 categories in this tag, and you have to fill them with different book boyfriends.

Originally found this tag on Calloway Books, and it’s just a coffee addicted bibliophile.

All right, here we go!

Most Romantic Boyfriend:

Although many of my picks are from PNR/Dark, I think all of them are romantic in some way. Though, if I have to pick:

If you have read the books, you know that these guys are devoted from the very start, always protecting, cherishing, and giving their heroines the very best.

Dark and Moody Bad Boy with a Good Side:

Callum McCord – Liars Like Us (Morally Gray #1)

This guy is legit a dark guy, obsessed over his female, and also a part of a vigilante group of powerful people. Loved him.

Paranormal Boyfriend:

Paranormal romance is my go-to genre, so of course, this list is stacked! I’m going to list several because they’re all awesome. I end up re-reading them at least once every couple of years.

  • DesRhapsodic (The Bargainer #1)
  • Knox Thorne – Burn (Dark in You #1)
  • Korum – Close Liaisons (The Krinar Chronicles #1)
  • Nikolas Danshov – Relentless (Relentless #1)
  • Archangel Raphael – Angels’ Blood (Guild Hunter #1)
  • Connor “Mad” Rogan – Burn for Me (Hidden Legacy #1)

These guys are the most powerful; they love their heroines and would burn down the world for them. Who wouldn’t want that?!

Boyfriend You Want To Tame:

Again, PNR picks:

  • Arion Vampyre – Gypsy Blood (All the Pretty Monsters #1)
  • Memnon – Bewitched (Bewitched #1)

Both of these paranormal heroes are dangerously obsessive and super powerful. Having a dark, bad boy who is good to you sounds delicious, really, haha. I love how darkly devious and devoted they are to their heroine.

Boy you friend-zoned:

Torin Kline – My Torin (Standalone)

My Torin is one of my favorite reads, but if I ever knew him IRL, I would want to be his best friend more than his lover. When I read the book, all I wanted to do was be his best friend and help him in any way I could.

Boy You’d Be Friends With Benefits With:

Billionaires incoming:

I think billionaires could make for a good FWB experience. They’re charismatic, with alpha tendencies that I find thrilling — at least temporarily (because I don’t think I’d ever get used to their high-handedness). All the perks of experiencing a billionaire romance without the hassle and drama.

Your Soulmate:

My Eternal Favorites:

  • Mason Kade – Fallen Crest High (Fallen Crest #1)
  • Daemon Black – Obsidian (Lux #1)

Honestly, Mason and Daemon are my go-to favorite heroes whenever someone asks me about book boyfriends. Mason’s a broody guy, whereas Daemon is sassy AF.

If they were IRL guys, I think they’d bring out the best in this anxious old me. They have always been about their heroine, always there for her, and you just know they’d stick around forever.

Boyfriend You Want To Elope With:

This one is really difficult. There are some I have listed in the other categories, so I will not mention them again here. However, I would love to elope with my soulmates and my tamed boyfriends!

…I’ll be skipping this one LOL.

Boyfriend You’d Venture Anywhere With:

I’d prefer extroverts, because I’m on the extreme introversion side and I can’t do small talks at all. My picks would be:

  • Bones – Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress #1)
  • Roth – White Hot Kiss (The Dark Elements #1)

Both are from the paranormal universe, and they possess a fun, protective nature that would make venturing out quite enjoyable, especially for an introvert like me. They’d ensure I had a fun time and, at the same time, be charming enough with strangers.

Boyfriend You’d Want To Be Stranded on a Desert Island With:

If I were to take an easy way out, I’d pick some of my Paranormal Book boyfriends for this, haha.

Dragos Cuelebre – Dragon Bound (Elder Races #1), who is a dragon shifter and can fly us to the nearest habitable land. I’d finally get the chance to ride a dragon!

Xaden Riorson – Fourth Wing (The Empyrean #1), who is a dragon rider and also has strong survival skills. He’s faced so many things, I’m sure he’d figure out how to get us out of there.

Most Badass Boyfriend:

Most of the guys I have listed above are badass. But I’ll name one here for uniqueness:

Curran – Magic Bites (Kate Daniels #1)

All my PNR heroes have gone to war for their heroines when they were in peril. I loved them fighting for their heroines, and I would so love to have that LOL.

Y’all, this list made me check my Goodreads, and I’ve rediscovered so many of my old favorites. I sat with my laptop and Goodreads open, listed all my favorite heroes (that I could remember), and then went through my ‘Read’ list. Now I’ve got like 50 guys, and I don’t know where to list them.

I have got a nice list of re-reads on my TBR now, along with a plan for writing a ‘My Favorite Book Boyfriends’ post.

Now it’s your turn—who would you pick for these categories? Tag me if you do this on your own blog. I’m always looking for more book boyfriends to add to my ever-growing list. If you haven’t read any of these books, or you have some more to recommend to me, follow and message me on Bookstagram! I’d be happy to hear from you.
